Cameron Scott was born and raised in Bend Oregon; throughout his youth he grew to become an avid outdoorsman, with an emphasis on fishing, white water rafting, backpacking, camping, skiing, and hunting. Mr. Scott graduated from Oregon State University in 1999 with a degree in Business Management and Marketing. After graduation he was employed by Morgan Stanley Dean Witter and account representative for high volume investors, he quickly realized that being indoors was not what his life was about and he quickly found himself out framing custom homes in the middle of winter in over two feet of snow. Realizing that his college degree was not being utilized to its fullest potential he sought warmer climates and moved to San Diego in the spring of 2001. He obtained his first job with in a matter of a couple of months in San Diego as a Superintendent for a local high end custom home builder and large multi family unit developer. With in two years he had risen to Senior Project Manger on over $200mil on gross attached for sale product, with projects ranging from San Diego to Sacramento. As the boom in the Real Estate industry continued he realized that to capitalize on his true skills he needed to start his own business.
In March of 2004 Construction Management Solutions, Inc (a Nevada based Corporation) was created and CMS Developer Services, Inc. was created to do work in California. The companies’ primary objective at that point in time was Construction Management and Entitlement Consulting for a multitude of large attached product developers who were following the Condominium Conversion boom. As his expertise began to see recognition he obtained his General Contractors License in April of 2006 to take advantage of converting units and or remodeling the very projects that he was providing consulting services for project approval. With clients possessing large residential rental portfolios his experience quickly blossomed to overall portfolio management and construction supervision. His talents have been used on the television series “Flip that House” and remodels have been featured in Better Homes and Gardens and San Diego Kitchens and Baths.
There is not a day that goes by that Cameron’s over all objective is to get outside and do what he loves most. With hobbies ranging from Sea Kayaking, Fishing, and taking his Golden Retriever to the beach, he also commits his time as a mentor in the Big Brothers Big Sisters chapter of San Diego and is a volunteer team member of the San Diego Mountain Search and Rescue Team. His commitment to give back what life has given him comes from the ideology that life is about giving back what was given to you.
